Our client is a small hospital in Kingwood, West Virginia that has opening for a direct-hire Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Tech hours are 11P - 7A. Monday-Friday, Rotating call approximately 1 weekend per month.
ABOUT THE HOSPITAL:
This is a critical access hospital located in rural Kingwood, WV. Kingwood is in the mid/Eastern part of the state about 30-45 minutes from Morgantown, WV and Garrett County, Maryland. Also about an hour and a half from Pittsburgh, PA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) Graduate of an ASCP or equivalent accredited school for Medical Technology
(2) BA Degree in Med Tech or other applied Health or Biological Sciences
(3) Previous experience or training in all areas of the Clinical Lab including microbiology and bloodbanking must be able to work without direct supervision. Will consider strong new grads.
(4) Certified or eligible for certification by ASCP or equivalent
(5) Meet CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing.
(6) Meets WV state personnel qualifications for licensure as a Med Tech.
SALARY: Starting salary is $15.54/hour and will increase depending on qualifications and/or experience. Hospital is currently reviewing market adjustments and this hourly rate should increase soon.
