This position represented overall management of the adult female obstretrical patient care units. The incumbent is responsible and accountable for planning, coordinating and directing activities in these units to assume safe, quality care in a cost-effective manner. The Director is also a clinical resource person who acts as a role model for the staff. He/she determines staff needs and identifies areas for improvement. Leads and directs the work of others. Completion of nursing program at an accrediated school, BSN preferred. Masters Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field preferred. Three years clinical experience required obstetric experience required.
Lafayette is located right in the heart of Cajun country in south central Louisiana on the Vermillion River. The area is known for its great food, lively culture, architecture and music giving life to its French, Spanish and Caribbean ancestors.
In addition to this position we are looking for Registered Nurses for Full-Time Permanent staff and management RN positions in many specialities locally and across the US. Positions are available within Health Systems, Hospital, Long Term Care, Assisted Living, Managed Care and Private Practice Facilities.
