Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist
Job Location: Anchorage, AK
Diabetes Educator/CNS needed for a growing facility in Alaska. The management has made a long-term commitment to the development and continued support of a Glycemic Management Program. They are conducting a nation-wide search for the right individual to spearhead this program.
This position will provide a key and critical resource who will work with dedicated nursing and medical teams through a series of charted projects that will grow resources and education at all levels for continual improvement in care. Using primary and secondary metrics developed and supported with our Clinical Evidenced-based Research Education Councils, Quality Improvement Operational Excellence Departments, staff/patient care/education outcomes will be proactively and positively impacted that will meet and/or exceed national best practices.
The facilitys goal is to be the top quality and cost effective provider.
Focus will be on adults from admitting to discharge. This position will require demonstrated clinical expertise with advanced skills in communication, education, teamwork, protocol development-implementation-evaluation required. A passion for excellence and improving patient care in a dynamic and innovative environment where collaboration and collegiality are priorities will be a must.

Requirements include:
Clinical Nurse Specialist certification
RN license in good standing with the ability to obtain Alaska Nursing license
Certified Diabetes Educator
