Need experienced ICU nurse for 30 bed Adult Critical Care Unit. Opening for full-time RN with 12 hour night shifts (36 hours per week). This is a 30-bed unit that has traumas, medical and cardio-thoracic patients. Optimal candidate will have 5 years general ICU experience, however will interview RNs with 2 years experience with some ICU experience. Prefer someone with trauma and cardiac experience. Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CCRN not required but preferred. Nurse:Patient ratio is usually 1:1 or 1:2, depending on patient acuity.
Company pays relo expenses up to $12,500. If entire relo package is not used, then the remainder can be considered a sign-on bonus with a 2 year obligation. This company will accept direct invoicing from moving companies to assist in the transition.
Differential is paid for evening and night shift workers, as well as weekend shifts. Full-time night personnel will receive their differential when cashing out accrued vacation time, etc.
Overtime is paid for any hours above 36 in a regular pay week, OR time over 12 hours on any worked day.

This facility has a union, however it is considered an open shop, employees can but are not required to join the union. They will be given the opportunity to decide once they arrive in Alaska. All nurses receive standard wages whether union or not.
