Radiologic Technologist -MAMMOGRAPHER
Job Location: Anchorage, AK
Outpatient facility in large hospital is seeking a mammography technologist. This newly remodeled department does approximately 110-120 mammograms per day with state-of-the-art equipment. They have recently acquired 3 new free-standing digital machines (Helogic) and have 1 analog mobile unit. The qualified candidate may or may not have experience with digital equipment, the facility is willing to train someone on the equipment as long as they have mammography experience. The department provides every modality in breast imaging available. This is a very busy center and the right candidate will need to work well with others in a close, fast-paced environment. Requirements: ARRT, mammography certified or eligible to take certification. Hours of operation are 6 am - 7 pm with patients being seen starting at 7am. Employees work overlapping 8 hour shifts/5 days per week to cover the department. Occasionally Saturday work is required but currently PRN and per diem staff cover this shift and that is not expected to change. Prefer someone with 2 years experience in mammography (not necessarily with digital equipment) but will consider candidate with 1 year of experience and strong desire to learn.
