Applications Programmer (Baan/Oracle ERP
Job Location: Huntsville, AL
Provide application development and support for BaaN ERP, Oracle Portal, i2 and other enterprise applications. Design and /or develop, test and deploy system enhancements and participate in upgrades and system integrations, ensuring that data integrity is maintained. Provide business systems analysis, evaluate requests for system enhancements, and trouble-shoot reported issues. Help users to define system requirements and provide solutions to better enable them to perform their functions. Assist with documentation, user training and education support. Research and stay current with technical standards and tools. Support other IT projects and business systems as needed.
Education: BSCS degree strongly preferred with emphasis on application development. Working knowledge of BaaN and /or other ERP systems, Oracle Portal, and i2 supply chain applications are a plus.
Experience: Experience with C/C++, PL/SQL, or SQL programming. Experience with Java or .NET programming languages is a plus. Strong development and debugging skills experience with relational DBs (oracle preferred) and object-oriented design. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, customer service skills, and verbal and written communication skills. 1-3 years experience working in IT field providing application development and support. Knowledge of BaaN or other ERP systems, and experience developing and supporting ERP applications is a plus.
