Director Early Stage Clinical Research
Job Location: Palo alto, CA
The Associate Director/Director of early phase Clinical Research is responsible for the development and execution of clinical programs for highly innovative, new molecular/chemical entities or line extensions of approved products.
You will assume a leadership role in managing all stages of the clinical study process including study design, protocol development, medical monitoring, review and analysis of efficacy and safety data. You will also act as a liaison between company and clinical investigators, and develop credible relationships with key opinion leaders, regulatory and governmental agencies as well as drive the publication process of scientific study data in conjunction with key opinion leaders.
This position requires an MD primarily with clinical research expertise in the dyslipidemia or diabetes area coupled with excellent understanding of general internal medicine (Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine strongly preferred). A minimum of 3 years experience of phase I-II clinical research and development including first-in human studies in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
