Engineering Manager
Job Location: Cleveland, OH
Working with a manufacturer of pins, spacers, bushings, connectors, inserts, and metal stampings to find an Engineering Manager who will report directly to the President and spend 65 of time in plant engineering activities including optimization, continuous improvement, waste reduction, productivity increase, capital projects, facilities, etc. Will spend remaining 35 of time in customer / product interface including customer recommendations, improving margins on existing products, define manufacturing process to reduce costs, etc.
This person will handle everything from facilities to adding new pieces of equipment. Stamping and / or laser cutting experience is desired. Additional experience with machining, heat treating, grinding, finishing (anodizing, pacification), in-tool sensors, PLCs and CNCs desired. Also desire Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing systems such as Kaizen and Kanban. bMust be hands-on./b
ISO exposure required, QS / TS 16949 desired and AS 9100 aerospace experience a plus. BS Engineering preferred, may be open to a Journeyman / Associates degree with experience.
$50K to $85K + Possible Bonus
NE Ohio candidates only (no relocation budget). BS / BA desired.
