In this high profile role you will be responsible for a team of 5 Infection Control Professionals and will oversee the design, development and implementation of a world-class infection prevention and control program departmental budgeting insuring the accurate collection, analysis and reporting of surveillance data and managing a dedicated team of experienced Infection Control Practitioners. Ideal candidate will have worked at a large tertiary care hospital in either the Infection Control and/or Quality Department. This position will report to the VP of Quality Patient Safety.
Position requirements include: Bachelors degree in healthcare related field required, Masters degree preferred Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Technologist (MT), Master of Public Health / Epidemiology or PhDs will be considered for this position If you are an RN, current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the State of California or eligible required 3+ years progressively related experience with in-depth knowledge of acute care infection prevention and control policies and procedures Certified in Infection Control (CIC) preferred Excellent statistical, analytical and interpersonal skills Experience with local, state, JCAHO and OSHA regulations and compliance. Large tertiary care hospital experience preferred.
