Our client is aggressively recruiting a Business Development Manager position.
Business Development Manager
The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to improve clients market position and achieve profitable growth. This function requires both prospecting for new clients and growth/retention of existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. Working with management and strategic planning are a key part of this job description. The business development role provides market feedback and finds new markets for the company. A thorough understanding and knowledge of the market, the companys competitive landscape, and the solutions and services the company can provide are all keys to success.
New Business Development
o Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
o Research and build relationships with new clients.
o Drive increased revenue and profit to meet companys growth plans.
o Plan approaches and presentations that resonate with the clients needs, concerns, and objectives.
o Plan and coordinate implementation of business plans and penetration of new markets.
o Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
o Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
o Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Business Development Planning
o Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
o Identify opportunities for marketing campaigns and services that lead to increased sales.
o Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the companys unique selling propositions and differentiators.
o Track weekly progress reports, Forecast revenue for the company. Implement countermeasures to meet business plan.
o Adhere to company business conduct guidelines and health and safety process and procedures.
o Excellent negotiation skills
o Proven track record of growing revenue through lead generation
o Experience working with senior management teams
o Customer engagement and presentation skills
o Strong leadership in sales function
Education and Training
o BA or BS Degree (Sales, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent) or substantial equivalent business experience required.
Knowledge and Experience
o Electronic Contract Manufacturing knowledge is preferred.
