Quality Specialist

Job Location: Plano, TX
Our client is an award winning, industry leading automotive supplier with a commitment to quality and equipment standards that is unsurpassed in the automotive industry. They are seeking a Quality Specialist to detect and resolve software and data issues for assigned components. This position requires a self-starter able to work in a branch environment with support of remote site colleagues and Management.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Investigate repeat-ability of reported problems
  • Generate reports for the findings related to problem investigations for presentation to internal and external customers
  • Support containment activities, corrective action implementation, running changes and software update processes to address problems
  • Maintain Daily Claim log
  • Customer point of contact for notification of problems or potential problems
  • Communicate problems/issues to Management and other departments
  • Provide monthly inputs to colleagues for incorporation into Monthly Quality Report
  • Attend local meetings with Tier, OEM customers and affiliate companies as requested
  • Limited travel to other offices and customer sites both domestic and international

Job Requirements:
  • One or more years experience in Quality, Warranty, or Customer Service Role for Automotive, Software or Electronics products
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills to generate charts and presentation material
  • Experience or Training working with problem solving tools / disciplines such as 8-D, 5-Why, etc.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Customer interaction/customer service role
  • Auto experience (software or electronic product experience)
  • Day to day usage of Microsoft Office
  • Formal problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a remote office
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Japanese language skills helpful but not required
