Product Development Engineer

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
This is a rapidly growing design and manufacturing company specializing in pressure switching and sensing devices. Our extensive growth and an expanding new product demand has created an opportunity for an experienced and creative Product Development Engineer able to deliver breakthrough technology/products that will improve the companys market share and competitiveness. The successful candidate will focus 100 of his/her time on new product designs from concept creation and design through process design and product launch and will be given a great deal of latitude to get the job done. The responsibilities of this position include design and development of sensors and other electro-mechanical devices primarily pertaining to pressure-sensing Or switching devices. These design and development efforts will be related to electrical performance as well as mechanical packaging solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience designing pressure-sensing products for high-volume manufacturing with a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and solid business results. A thorough knowledge of theoretical and practical fundamentals, experimental engineering techniques and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously are demanded.
Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or relevant degree.
Experience working in a product development environment.
Must possess good communication (verbal written) skills.
Working knowledge of various software packages including Microsoft (Excel, Word, etc.)
DOE, FMEA, ISO 9001 knowledge and experience.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience working with OEMs a plus.
Some travel
Proficiency in SolidWorks is a plus.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ELECTROMECHANICAL SWITCHING DEVICES OR PRESSURE SENSING DEVICES
