IT Operations Manager $115K $125K + 25% Bonus - On-site Full Time Employee position
* Bonus has been paid for at least the last 10 years

The ideal Manager will have experience in
* This manager will be moving us to the next level when it comes to building a strong team and enabling tiered support, managed services etc.
* Have worked for Large organizations (10,000 + employees) or they will lack structure on "management"
* Manage two separate but coherent styles of work: one focused on predictability; the other on exploration.
* Work in a highly matrix organization (ideally international)
* Standardization of infrastructure
* Enterprise-level environments (larger companies)
- Working for international company (even if only out of the US) - either in HQ defining standards and supporting rollouts to other site or -even better- being on the receiving end in a satellite site implementing HQ-defined standards
- Ability to develop a strong team (we have some "raw diamonds" - still in the "norming / forming" phase. Need strong leader to move this team to next level).
* Rolling out corporate standards and on technical site, solid knowledge about networking (WAN: multi-site connectivity, LAN) a must
* Familiar with standard operating procedures, IT service management frameworks like ITIL, Lean IT etc., as well as enterprise-level technologies (current on today's technologies)
* Experience in rolling out corporate standards and on technical site, solid knowledge about networking (WAN: multi-site connectivity, LAN)
* Manage the day-to-day aspects of IT operations, finances, service levels, resourcing projects, and basic project management (executing/implementing deliverables) - spanning data center operations, servers, virtualization, networks, etc.
* Budget: over $1M
* Team size: 5 FTE plus externals (also in charge of Managed Services and project staff)
* Degree desired, but would look at candidates with at least 10+ in IT, 7 in managing IT Operations
* Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Engineering/ Information Systems a plus
* Any IT Management certifications like ITIL, Lean (IT) Management or relevant work experience
* Any Project Management related training or certification such as PMP, CSM or relevant work experience
* Successful participation in security training or certifications or relevant work experience
* Successful participation in technology providers training or certifications
* 15 or more years in IT and business/industry (Life Science preferred)
* 5 to 7 years of leadership responsibility in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
* Hands on experience with core infrastructure technologies such as storage (incl. backup/archiving), compute, local and wide area network, telco (specifically any of the following: CISCO, VMWare, Oracle DB, Windows Server, Linux
* Experience in 24 x 7 physical data center operations
* Extensive experience in managing infrastructure and operations
* Manages IT day-to-day operations to improve infrastructure costs, performance and stakeholder satisfaction, including:
Operational Excellence
* Builds and maintains relationships with other IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs, and is able to respond with agility to changing business priorities
* Leads IT asset management team to ensure asset's full lifetime cycle value is achieved. Manages strategic relationships with key IT product and services providers
* Provides leadership in planning and managing IT operations and production support, core infrastructure systems and database administration, network operations, security operations and operating systems and technical applications.
Workforce Management
* Directs team of technical, professional and management staff (5 FTE) in the successful fulfillment of IT service delivery commitments
Financial- and Vendor Management
* Management of maintenance contracts (soft-, hardware, subscriptions, cloud)
* Must be able to travel internationally and domestically, less than 10% of the time
