Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 + Excellent Benefits & Paid Relocation

One of the nations leading Chemical manufacturers is conducting a search for a Mechanical Reliability Engineer. Youll be responsiblefor improving the plant equipment reliability through proper maintenance, construction, and installation of mechanical & electro-mechanical equipment and systems. Youll also coordinate maintenance, repair, & operation activities to obtain optimum utilization of equipment and systems.

The main goals of this position will be to improve plant operations and equipment on the basis of feasibility and economics. Other responsibilities will include:
  • Investigate, develop, plan and organize into an efficient and orderly system for accomplishing the assigned project and meeting objectives
  • Prepare the detailed scope of projects in conjunction with process engineering, maintenance, safety, environmental and manufacturing.
  • Prepare the capital appropriations and setting up cost controls
  • Prepare detailed specifications for materials and equipment to enable purchasing to obtain competitive bids
  • Implement Maintenance Excellence initiatives, goals and costs
  • Utilize analytical and engineering skills to identify and reduce/eliminate repeated equipment failures.
  • Work with Engineering on PSM implementations, work practices, design and repair standards, mechanical integrity, and layers of protection.
  • Assist budgeting and expenditure forecasting, tracking metrics, and generating monthly reports, including input into capital budget and to drive improved reliability.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 + Excellent Benefits & Paid Relocation to a Southern USA metro area. Requirements for the Mechanical Reliability Engineer:
  1. Bachelors degree required; Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  2. At least 5 years experience in a reliability or Project engineering role; process or chemical plant experience preferred.
  3. Must have FIXED equipment and design (tanks, heat exchangers, piping, API, etc.)
  4. Knowledge of rotating equipment and Design (ANSI, Pumps, Centrifugal, reciprocating, liquid ring compressors)
  5. Must be knowledgeable of OSHA PSM Standards
  6. Computer skills in Microsoft Office; MS Project, AutoCAD, and SAPMaintenance Module preferred
  7. Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
