National Business Development Manager

Job Location: Atlanta, GA

The Underwood Edge is seeking a National Business Development Manager who will be responsible for executing call center partnership sales efforts for our Atlanta client with a primary focus on new business development. He/she will meet directly with new partner prospects on a regular basis to increase overall sales opportunities for our Client and will concentrate on selling new partnerships.


  • Structure, negotiate and sell call center partnership opportunities
  • Drive all corporate partnership sales generation/new business to meet and exceed annual individual sales goal and assist the department in achieving annual overall revenue & in-kind targets
  • Grow portfolio of national call center partners
  • Prospect, solicit, cultivate and maintain all sales efforts
  • Make cold calls, solidify meetings, conduct sales presentations, negotiate and close sales
  • Responsible for developing a robust prospect pipeline for potential call center partnership opportunities with regional and national companies
  • Work with internal departments, including attending select meetings, to develop new assets and implement new and innovative call center partnership programs
  • Monitors the competitive marketplace
  • Work with Marketing to create sales materials and proposals
  • Deliver engaging presentations to prospective partners and close partnerships by overcoming objections
  • Interface with prospects and partners at all levels of their organization
  • Develop and maintain proper sales and prospect reporting procedures and databases including participation in individual weekly reporting to track prospects, partners and renewal accounts
  • Lead the contract process for new partners
  • Contribute to any efforts, thoughts or actions used to boost overall revenue for the organization
  • Other duties as assigned
    Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree preferred and equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in closing six-figure annual, long-term partnerships and in meeting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Professionalism and strong interpersonal qualities with excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills as well as listening skills
  • Ability to craft sales presentations, and other promotional materials
  • Professional integrity and strong relationship building skills
  • Must possess problem-solving capabilities to address and resolve issues. When necessary, he/she will be a tough and effective negotiator
  • Operate in a fast-paced, challenging, team-based environment
  • Must have the ability to gain the respect and trust of superiors, peers, and customers
  • Results and bottom-line oriented yet understanding of people and values
  • Must be self-confident, analytical, well organized and possess a high level of enthusiasm
  • Proficiency with data and MS Office applications
  • Willingness to travel, as needed
