3 - RNs OB/LD

Job Location: Warwick, TX

Experience: 2-5 years of experience

Location and Description: A hospital in east Texas is seeking three (3) Registered Nurses for the Obstetrics/Labors Delivery Unit for the 7:00 am to 7:00 pm shift or the 7:00 pm to 7:00 am shift. This town features the diversity for which Texas is famous-on one hand, its an oasis of beautiful countryside consisting of ranches and farms, but offers year round sun shine and a variety of cultural activities from nearby metropolitan cities. There is a number of local activities that includes hiking, golf, nature trails, photography, flea markets, fishing, hunting, jogging, swimming, and many other outdoor activities. This is a great area as it provides a small town atmosphere, but has all the amenities of two larger metropolitan cities within a half an hour. This area has little crime and the town provides an environment that promotes family values. Facility: A medium size modern acute care hospital has the normal Med/Surgical and critical care units with ancillary and supports departments. The Womens Childrens Health Center nursing staff has an excellent reputation in the community.
Position Reports to: Manager of the Womens Center
Qualifications: ASN/Diploma in Nursing with a minimum of 2 year of clinical experience in OB or Labor Delivery in an acute care hospital. Must be eligible for licensure in Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to grow with a facility.
Responsibilities: The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing the normal nursing care to OB/LD patients following the treatment protocols that have been established. The person will be responsible for performing the nursing process via assessment, implementation, evaluation of safe and therapeutic care, for patients with medical conditions.

Previous OB/lD experience with the ability to relate to staff and communicate effectively with physicians is necessary.
