Program Manager
Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Experience: 7-99 years of experience
A division of a $1B corporation with thousands of employees nationwide, this is a growth-oriented company supporting the DOD in prime and subcontractor product development, manufacturing, and support roles. A dynamic and challenging work environment involved in developing, manufacturing and integrating products for communications, defense electronics and power systems. They also provide support for these systems and products worldwide. Very rapidly growing and successful engineering driven company with excellent development, prototyping and production capability. Facility is located in rural area of Western PA which would be ideal for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors. Although Pittsburgh is the nearest metropolitan area, this is not an opportunity for someone who requires close proximity to a big city.
The Program Manager will be responsible for managing assigned programs for products and services for both the domestic and international markets to ensure program performance meets requirements as addressed in either a contract or bid/proposal. This person will plan and develop methods and procedures for accomplishing scope of work for programs and coordinate active personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of assigned programs.
Additional responsibilities will include pricing-audits, fact-finding, cost scheduling, negotiations and other related duties,
The qualified candidate will possess a four year college degree in technical field or related curriculum. Significant experience in analyzing new business opportunities, strategy development and execution, with a proven proficiency in performing quantitative research and developing business cases for major program emphasis. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must effectively present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Strong mathematical skills with the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software Internet software Manufacturing software Project Management software and Spreadsheet software.
