Application Engineer
Job Location: Longmont, CO
Experience: 8-30 years of experience
Minimum BSEE plus minimum of 8 years Applications/Design experience, and 5 years of DC-DC converter design experience in the power range of 1-100 watts. Experience must include work with buck, boost, and buckboost topologies and be proficient at debugging and testing prototype power circuits. Minimum 3 years experience creating and presenting training material to peers and customers.
Primary functions will include development of switching power supply reference designs, demo boards, applications notes, and training material. Presenting material to peers, FAEs, and customers is part of the responsibilities as well as customer interface via telephone and e-mail, along with occasional travel for face-to-face visits. Will participate in design tool development for customers and FAEs.
Additional Qualifications: amiliar with MathCAD, PSpice simulation, and PCB layout tools. Proficient in the use of Excel and Powerpoint. Must be capable of 10 annual travel, both domestically and internationally.
