Materials Supervisor
Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Experience: 4-8 years of experience
Rapidly growing leader in their sector of Contract Electronics Manufacturing. With over $200 million in sales, this is a division of a billion dollar corporation ranked as one of the best managed companies in the United States. They have grown almost 30 in the last 3 years to approximately 800 employees at this location and have plans to increase by that much again over the next 5 years. The position is located in a rural region of PA for all those nature enthusiasts and lovers of the great outdoors.
The Materials Supervisor reports to the Supply Chain Manager. Serving as the link between Supply Chain and both Program Management (PM) and Production Control. Responsible for all Supply Chain related aspects of the programs under their supervision. They ensure new programs are assigned to the appropriate analyst team in a timely fashion and the teams are supporting program requirements. Responsible for up to 8 direct reports including monitoring and reporting individual and group key performance metrics. Responsible for monitoring workload distribution and resource allocation.
Responsibilities Include:
Distribution of new program assignments
Internal and External negotiations on Key Supply Chain Milestones (i.e. material commit date, and budget) for new programs.
Assist the Material Analyst Leads in communicating status to Program Management, Production Control, other areas of Supply Chain, and Executive Management.
Monitor status of programs and support Material Analyst teams to assure milestones are achieved.
Continuous improvement of processes and procedures related to the Material Analyst function.
Must have strong and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Responsible for monitoring the primary Essential Accountabilities of the Procurement Analyst Teams under his/her responsibility as listed below.
Perform required analysis on site procurement activities
Track the spend, savings, delivery and FRACAS activity for site procurement activities
Review Project Release, CML, and Indentured BOM for accuracy
Responsible for tracking of projects from project release to project ship
Responsible for the maintenance and tracking of items on the Hot List
Responsible for the Open PO trend report and required analysis
Conduct cost comparison and analysis between CML costs versus actual costs
Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the daily Open PR/PO reports
Ability to determine priority of multiple projects to meet company goals and communicate those priorities to others
Attend program meetings as a representative of Supply Chain
Ability to evaluate processes and make recommendations on ways to improve them
Must have strong and professional written and verbal communication skills
Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookup, Macros, Formulas, Merge spreadsheets, etc)
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues
Performs other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as need basis
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE. Associates degree required Bachelors degree preferred with a minimum of 2-4 years work experience.
