POSITION: Account Manager, SMB
LOCATION: Midwest Great Lake Area - Pittsburgh, Detroit, OH, IN, Chicago, St. Louis, WI or MN, Cleveland, Kentucky, NW Michigan, Indianapolis
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
o Past employment of IBM or IBM Business Partner (direct sales).
o Must not have restrictive or enforceable employment contract non-compete agreement.
o Ideal candidate would have strong knowledge of IBM Midrange and/or IBMStorage, including IBM pSeries (RS/6000) and/or xSeries (Netfinity). But, will consider candidates selling competitive midrange systems and storage (ie. Sun, HP, EMC, Network Appliance, etc.).
o Must have experience selling to the Small Medium Business (SMB) market.
o Outstanding proven sales skills and track record.
o Must have good knowledge of local IBM sales organizations.
o Must have strong local client relationships.
o Outstanding verbal written skills.
o Self-starter.
o Must be willing to be a team player for both sales opportunities and sales support.
o Ability to manage the entire sales process, with assistance from HQ team.
CLIENT BACKGROUND: Company is nationally recognized provider of information technology solutions across the US that provides IBM product solutions, consulting, services and total solutions. They are the largest remarketer and installer of IBM S/390 enterprise servers. Besides their leadership in zSeries, they offer a full-range of Enterprise Servers, from the S390 super server, to the Mid-Range solutions of the pSeries and iSeries, and even the PC based xSeries server. Further, they are offer strong storage and software solutions to their clients.
COMPENSATION: Draw or Salary plans ($50,000 - $75,000), with on-target earnings of $250,000 at $1MM gross profit target. Uncapped sales plan.
