This representative may live in most major cities in the major markets....Dallas, Houston, Chicago, or city in Central US and work from a home office. Responsible for selling flexible industrial packaging products FIBC's to existing customers and prospective clients. .........Maintain existing business and assist Business Unit Sales/Marketing management to achieve new sales.

Our client is a world leader the the container packaging industry. They do 4 Billion + annually. They have an immediate opportunity in the Houston market for a motivated sales representative.
- Communicates with existing customers and manages accounts to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintains existing business by developing and presenting “value propositions” to existing customers. 2. Interfaces with internal employees in functional areas including but not limited to Production, Customer Service, Accounts Receivable and Shipping in order to provide customer satisfaction. 3. Interacts with and assists Business Unit Sales/Marketing management to achieve new sales. 4. Creates detailed proposals and quotes. 5. Delivers samples/prototypes to customers. 6. Completes and updates sales related paperwork. 7. Travels within territory as required. 8. Maintains good working relationships with plants that service customers in the assigned territory. 9. Incorporates and maintains safety observances, including but not limited to, use of all PPE, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits. 10. May solicit requests for quotes 11. For under-performing accounts, may execute re-pricing action where possible, substitute with higher pocket margin specification or otherwise, re-price to achieve target pocket margin. 12. May interface with plant to determine lost and new customer opportunities (e.g., customer segment, value propositions). 13. Performs other duties as assigned.


Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, or proven track record in the packaging industry.

Experience: Over 5 years industrial sales experience.

Knowledge and Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, planning and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to perform cold customer calls and follow-up on leads. Negotiation skills are required.

OTE is 150k + with base salary in 70k range. 50% travel
