Job summary:
FAA Flight Analyst Designated Engineering Representative (DER) will be assigned to the System Test IPT with responsibilities to participate in the planning and execution of a large transport category aircraft civil certification program involving Supplemental Type Certificates (STC). The candidate will be responsible for preparing and/or approving, within the limits of their appointment, test requirements, test plans, aircraft performance flight test data, aircraft quantitative operating data, and flight characteristic data.
Duties:
Duties will also include participating in and supporting flight test risk assessments and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), conducting ground test evaluations, conducting flight tests and evaluations, compile test reports and complete portions of the Type Inspection Report and Aircraft Flight Manual. Responsibilities will also include interfacing with FAA flight test personnel and preparing and submitting compliance documentation. Candidate must be familiar with flight testing of transport category airplanes, have prior experience on Part 23 or 25 aircraft programs and possess a current Class III medical certificate. Training at an approved flight test facility, like National Test Pilot School (NTPS), is desired but not required. Position requires a BS or MS in an Engineering discipline. US Citizenship required. Interim Security Clearance is required to start. This position is Contract Contingent
