Administrative Assistant II
Job Location: Chesapeake, VA

7:00-3:30 First Shift
Education Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent +4 years.
Experience Requirements/Skills:
Candidate will be conducting data entry into the Navy Data Environment (NDE) database from hard copy material and information from other databases. Some data may require calculations before entry. CONFIDENTIAL Clearance required.
Under general supervision, performs moderately complex administrative tasks to assist organization, business area, business unit, etc. Generally, no instruction provided on routine work and general instructions on new assignments. Performs a broad range of administrative tasks which may include correspondence, budget posting, timesheets, account posting, inventory, etc. Requires the use of professional concepts to solve a variety of problems. Work is performed on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required to resolve problems and to make routine recommendations. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of moderately complex administrative duties.
Ability to use correct verbal usage, written or oral, is needed to accurately post, carry out and understand assignments, or convey and/or exchange routine information. Work is performed on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required to resolve problems and to make routine recommendations.
Proficient in the use of Personal Computers (PCs) and word processing and data entry software.
Job Performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
Normally assigned to perform work in an office environment. Only electrical hazards and other minor potential hazards normally found in an office environment are anticipated
