Senior Oracle DBA
Job Location: Akron, OH
Experience: 4-30 years of experience
A strong organization is looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to join their organization ASAP. This candidate will be responsible for the following:
Problem shooting
Database Tuning
Monitoring
Backup and Recovery
Documentation
Installation, Upgrades, Patch and Support
Standardize the environment
Migrations
Schema management, database configuration, space management, and performance tuning and optimization
Aid in the architecture/data modeling and ETL development
Database support
Mentoring
Overall review of the physical database structures for data integrity, performance quality and maintenance
All candidates need experience with Oracle 9i and 10G running on Unix (sun solaris), at least 4 years Oracle DBA experience, shell scripting on Unix (sun solaris), knowledge of SQL and SQL tuning, knowledge of MS Windows and Sun Solaris, experience with monitoring and tuning, ability to manage user groups, excellent verbal and written skills, independent thinker and problem solver, project management, a thorough understanding of ETL processes and dimensional schemas, reporting analysis and must be able to be an independent thinker and a group player.
