Clinical Specialist

Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Experience: 5-8 years of experience

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for three functions: 1) Train, educate and establish standards of practice for use of company products 2) Act as a clinical liaison between Business Development Representatives, therapists and patients at partner facilities. Implement successful patient referral programs with therapists at partner facilities in order to promote patient throughput, 3) Assist in development and lead corporate and clinical education programs 4) Deliver and provide support for international training efforts

Responsibilities:

Provide clinical and technical training for Company personnel.
Demonstrate competence in assessing learning needs, conducting training programs and teaching clinical staff.
Demonstrate initiative and a level of expertise in use of company products to serve as a resource to therapists and patients.
Establish standards of practice in the use of company products to ensure exceptional care and patient/therapist compliance.
Play an instrumental role in developing training for in-house and field deployment.
Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing physical and occupational therapy in the use and application of new technology.
Able to react to change productively and to perform other essential tasks assigned.
Assist in training international distributors.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree and be licensed as an Occupational or Physical Therapist.
Must have at least 5 years work experience.
Candidates with experience in a post-stroke/neuro-rehabilitation setting strongly preferred.
Must be self-motivated and possess integrity, initiative, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong public speaking and presentation skills highly desired.
Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to build effective, lasting relationships with therapists and patients.
Individual must conduct themselves in a diplomatic and tactful manner with professionals and non-professionals at all levels.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and adapt to a fast changing environment with ease.
Possess a dedication to teamwork and commitment to excellence.
Possess a talent for quickly mastering technology.
Able to travel 10.
