Business Development Manager

Job Location: Orlando, FL

Experience: 5-10 years of experience

Job Description:
-As an account management/ business development manager, this person will be responsible for creating and maintaining productive business relationships with consulting / engineering firms, large scale system integrators, federal prime contractors, and end user customers within specific vertical markets.
-The primary focus of this BDM will be within government and security marketplaces, yet other vertical markets may be added as needed.
-The BDM will work with Imaging Systems. At times, the BDM may also work on global opportunities with certain partners, end user customers, and other associates.
-The ideal candidate for this position should reside in or near metro Orlando.

Job Functions
Achieve 100 of the revenue target as assigned by management each fiscal year.
Maintain positive high-level relationships within all relevant accounts including consulting / engineering firms, large scale system integrators, federal prime contractors, third-party suppliers, and key end user customers.
Strategically manage these business relationships and opportunities to help ensure sound profitable solutions are defined, booked and delivered with the required products and resources.
Actively participate in marketing activities / events in the designated vertical markets in order to discover new opportunities and raise brand image, and market share whenever possible.
Exercise excellent negotiation skills to help find, secure and close profitable business throughout each fiscal.
Maintain a positive attitude and act with professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Participate in sales meetings and conference calls with positive input and useful market feedback.
Communicate relevant partner, customer, market and competitive observations to management regularly.
Complete all internal reports and respond to all communications from management on a timely basis.

Job Requirements:
BS degree in business, technology or engineering (or equivalent work experience) is required.
Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in technology sales and/or business development is required.
Having an active Secret Level Security Clearance is not required, but is preferred.
A proven history of sales success and business development leadership will also help set apart the ideal candidate.
An eager and positive attitude, self-motivated style, and demonstrable leadership skills are required.
Excellent listening, presentation, communication, and writing / reporting skills are expected.
Must be a solid team player able and willing to support divisional and company objectives, goals and policies.
Basic administrative and computer skills are required.
