Director of Product Engineering Network Security
Seeking a visionary Director of Engineering who can lead strategic product development for a well-established international provider of leading network security solutions.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership for product (HW/SW) engineering, including:
- Strategic product development planning
- Development of core technologies and tools
- Provide overall technology product for products and technical architectures
- Work with Product Management and customers to address changing needs of the market
- Direct a staff of 20+ world-class engineers to meet goals for product development and quality
- Plan and control the technology budget
Requirements:
Career focus in development of commercial hardware/software products, including:
- 10+ years managing development of products from inception to release
- Demonstrable success in completion of major product development within budget and schedule requirements
- Broad vision for innovation beyond engineering in technology to meet market needs
- Ability to build, motivate, and retain a successful team of product development engineers
- Superior technical skills needed to understand and manage technical engineering work
- Outstanding ability to communicate effectively with management throughout the company
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (EE, CS, etc. preferred) Masters degree is highly valued
- Business knowledge and perspective is highly valued MBA is highly valued
- US citizen only -- due to government regulations related to the technology used
Preferred:
Not specifically required but preferred qualifications include:
- Broad knowledge of high-speed data communications technology and network architecture
- Knowledge of data security and encryption techniques, including AES, RSA, 3DES, ECC, and PKI
- Development experience in a Xilinx/VHDL shop
