Electronics Manufacturing Engineer
SUMMARY: Assist in integrating new products into production through manufacturing process design and flow.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
Develop facility layouts, line design, process and material flows, and tooling design.
Develop and maintain other manufacturing methods and procedures to ensure system efficiencies.
Perform root cause analysis and corrective action on internal quality, process, or associated problems.
Design and submit orders for tooling and fixtures to optimize the manufacturing process.
Develop and coordinate data collection and reporting for cost savings, tooling purchases, and expenditure reporting.
Identify and measure variance in standards and controls. Research cause and recommend associated resolution.
Assist production in maintaining efficient processes and management tools.
Perform process capability and labor studies, time standard measurements, and other process-related evaluations.
Implement and maintain capable manufacturing processes and procedures.
Directly manage those personnel assigned including staffing and personnel placement, employee relations, performance appraisals, discipline and termination, salary administration, and career development.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering or related field plus five years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong PC skills using MS Word, Excel, and applicable software.
Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relations skills.
Able to read and understand work instructions and safety guidelines in standard English text.
