Account Manager
Job Location: Herndon, VA
Experience: 5-7 years of experience
Major Responsibilities:
Has sales and sales management responsibility in a DoD/Intel federal agency or agencies. Working in conjunction with an inside sales representative, the representative will identify agency needs and propose product solutions to fulfill those needs. Will respond to inbound inquires generated by marketing in addition to doing outbound sales. Product emphasis will be the Security and Availability lines of business and the services to support those solutions. Works with transactional reseller partners integrators and account end users in chasing, closing, and fulfilling sales. Must be able to work with and call on all levels of an account including engineers, mid and upper level management and the CxO level.
Position Requirements and Education:
Has 5+ years of successful selling enterprise or desktop software (Oracle, Sybase, CA, Tivoli, IBM, etc.) in the DoD/Intel environment. Demonstrated experience in closing $1M+ enterprise and program license deals. Must be able to work with little direction and identify, qualify, and close major opportunities. Must be able to understand and represent security technology. Must understand and be able to work with the federal procurement process. Must be able to work in a team environment teamed with inside sales. Demonstrated ability to exceed quota.
