Product Definer- Automotive Audio

The client is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Audio System expert to help them define next generation ICs for Automotive Audio Systems. This job offers a lot of autonomy, creativity, and excitement. They are looking for a Sr. Engineer with solid Digital Audio Hardware design experience to help them understand what other automotive engineers want to achieve in their future designs and translate those needs into IC specifications!
The primary activity is meeting with senior engineers and architects at major automotive companies in order to understand their toughest problems, propose solutions, and validate technical data. Product requirements are defined in a formal written product specification that identifies technical, business, and market justifications. This specification forms the basis of a new product. Candidates are expected to identify and articulate to management and the design force what new products are needed and why. The Product Definer also offers technical support during the parts design stage and helps markets these new ICs to acquire the next product ideas.
Additional responsibilities include writing design ideas, application notes, data sheets, and industry specific magazine articles as directed.

Requirements
A (minimum) BS in Electrical Engineering with 10 years of work experience in a design-engineering environment at the board or ECU level.
Sound verbal, written, and presentation skills.
A natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and willingness to travel worldwide (min. 3 wks/quarter).
