We are conducting a specialized search for an experienced Infection Preventionist to join the IC team of an established healthcare system. In this high profile role you will plan, develop and facilitate activities for the Systems Infection Prevention Department. This includes using epidemiologic tools to identify patients and personnel at risk of infection, clustering or outbreaks. Other key functions include developing and monitoring performance improvement activities, surveillance for healthcare-acquired infections, reportable diseases, employee/occupational health and safety, participating in the design, collection, analysis and presentation of data and promoting regulatory and accreditation requirement compliance. The position will report to the Director of Infection Prevention and interfaces at the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer levels.
Our ideal candidate will have the following: Current State of Georgia RN licensure or eligible; A bachelors or masters degree in a healthcare-related field preferred; Minimum 2+ years infection prevention experience in an acute care environment; Proven track record of facilitating process improvement initiatives related to prevention of healthcare-acquired infections; Ability to enter and manage data and create reports and related documentation; CIC highly preferred or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
