We are a full service, acute care hospital, and is one of the most established facilities in Las Vegas. As a full-service hospital, we offer a range of health care resources, scope of services includes cardiology, neurology, emergency and trauma services, air ambulance, women and childrens services, orthopedics, medical/surgical, oncology, and critical/intensive care. Responsible for direction of patient care in the Operating Room and PACU. Manages nursing staff members. Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assists in formulating budget

We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services. Must have BSN and Masters in Business, Health Administration or Nursing required. Current Nevada RN licensure and BCLS certification.

Must have a minimum five years staff nursing experience: Minimum three years in Administrative/Management position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical skills necessary to organize and oversee assigned personnel and develop and administer policies, procedures, budgets and nursing practices. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective leadership to assigned personnel and maintain effective contacts with patients, visitors, physicians and community. Ability to lead interdisciplinary team with staff, physicians and community representatives.

Responsibilities of the position include supervision, organization, hiring, counseling, and evaluation of subordinates; monitoring and evaluating the departments provision of healthcare; for OR, PACU, ACU, Endoscopy, and Central Sterilization.
