Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent)
Job Description: Evaluate, design and maintain process instrumentation and controls systems for a coal fired cogeneration power plant and its associated chemical processing facilities that produce more than a millions tons of product annually. The instrumentation used in these facilities are used in all facets of the operation from measuring 1500 psig high pressure steam at temperatures that reach 900 degrees F to determining the parts per billion dissolved oxygen in steam condensate. Control systems incorporated in every aspect of the process automation range from state of the art computer control systems to single loop pneumatic operators.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, possessing a desire to work with highly trained field personnel to implement new control strategies and maintain existing ones. The I&C Engineer will set the direction and recommend the proper equipment for the improvement and expansion of all instrumentation within the Power Plant and provide assistance to the Chemical Facilities in I&C functions.
