Our client is a leading innovative manufacturer of closed-cell foams and adhesive foam tapes (PVC foam, Polyester Foam and Adhesive Tapes). They provide solutions in gaskets for sealing, cushioning, insulating and protecting. They design and supply custom foams and adhesive tape products for a wide variety of applications used among a cross section of industries including automotive, industrial, construction, heating and air conditioning, weatherstripping, recreational vehicle, electronics and medical.

They are looking for an Marketing / New Product Development Manager, specifically someone who can generate revenue from new and innovative ways to use their product.

This position is hands on and they are looking for Technical Expertise in similar types of products. The qualified candidate will be responsible for generating interest in new products either through existing or new customers, also advancing current product offerings through new channels. Achieving this goal, this person will serve on the New Products Development Committee, assist the sales force and report to Director of Sales & marketing.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves on the New Products Development Committee which designs product strategy, determines priorities and analyzes justification for the project

Identifies either directly or indirectly new product concepts designed to enhance the companys product offerings and/or profitability.

Direct customer and supplier contact for more precise evaluation of a new project concept.

Evaluates competitors product and activity, reporting information to Director of New Products Development Committee.

Serves as backup support to direct sales force in the solicitation of new customers or existing customers to develop interest in either current or developmental product lines.

Assists Director Sales & Marketing in the development of advertising campaign designed to enhance market awareness of companys product offering.

Assists in booth management at trade shows.

Communicate on subjects as required and on a regular basis to the Director Sales & Marketing, Sales Manager and Industry Product Manager and supervised employees regarding account and market development activities.

Strive to create a positive work environment, present a professional image and develop an air of leadership worthy of respect from customers, vendors, supervised and non-supervised employees.

Recognize and report new product and market opportunities.

Openly communicate feelings or opinions on how company can improve and srrengthen efforts. This with the purpose of advancing companys market exposure, market and account penetration.

Project coordination with Director Sales & Marketing.
