The Compliance Consultant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Provides compliance expertise and advice to all Corporate Health entities * Performs compliance reviews utilizing discretion, latitude and independent judgment * Develops compliance educational programs, policies and procedures * Documents findings and makes written recommendations for corrective action needed to maintain compliance * Designs and conducts education/training for employees regarding billing, coding and other compliance matters * Maintains extensive knowledge and experience pertaining to regulatory compliance and coding and billing of services to Federal healthcare programs * Conduct training presentations in formal and informal settings
Qualifications: * RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC with minimum 3 years coding experience * Expert knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding and UB-04 and/or CMS-1500 claim billing * Previous compliance experience strongly preferred * Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance issues * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office * Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
