Job Location: Cleveland, OH
The Incentive Compensation analyst role will coordinate, direct, and implement the Varicent Incentive Compensation application in production support environment and on-going project initiatives.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning
Provide a strategic direction for Incentive Compensation application development, including standards, procedures, and guidelines, based on business goals and input from stakeholders.
Conduct research into current and emerging Incentive Compensation functionality and issues in support of business.
Play key role with future system rollouts for Incentive Compensation and ensure any future rollouts do not have a negative impact on existing environment.

Operational Responsibility
Participate in all phases of Incentive Compensation system rollout and operations.
Ability to understand and configure complex compensation plans, calculations, rules, webforms and reports.
Develop all aspects of an outbound interface in format required by receiving system.
Develop all aspects of an inbound interface in order to load required data.
Troubleshoot inbound and outbound interfaces at any stage of the process.
Provide superior production support to all Incentive Compensation application users.
Participate in future Incentive Compensation system rollouts.
Coordinate an application production clone schedule to ensure recent development environments are available for reliable test validation.
Assist with application testing for any patches or functionality changes within the application.
Serve as primary point of contact for vendor maintenance and service requests.
Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.


Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification
College diploma or university degree in the field of business, computer science.


Knowledge & Experience
2-4 years hands-on experience with Incentive Compensation application.
2-4 years with data modeling, ETL and application interfaces.
Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g and Sql Server platforms.
Hands-on understanding utilizing Sql, PL/Sql.
Java experience preferred.
The candidate should have proven ability to work independently and efficiently within a collaborative team environment.
Experience in gathering, analyzing, and meeting business requirements.
Ability to lead projects utilizing principles of project management.
Potential travel as required - up to 20%.
