Anatomic Pathology Manager - Michigan
Job Summary
The Anatomic Pathology Lab Manager will work in collaboration with medical directors, management team and administrative directors.
The AP Manager oversees and coordinates activities of the Anatomic Pathology functions the sites to ensure quality, timely and efficient laboratory operations.
Develops system wide policies and procedures in alignment with hospital goals and objectives.
Communicates and involves appropriate personnel at all sites to ensure efficient patient care.
Works with management team and medical leadership to ensure that laboratory sections are in compliance with regulatory and licensing agencies.
Provides input into collaborative goals, objectives and strategies for anatomic pathology division.
Measures and assesses performance in alignment with the goals.
Assists in development of and monitors budget for division and multiple departments.
Delegates daily operations activities of sections to front line management staff or assumes direct responsibilities of designated sections and staff.
The Anatomic Pathology Manager will have responsibilities for: Histology, Cytology, Medical Transcriptionists and AP Consultations, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Autopsy Service, Pathologist Assistants and Gross Rooms.
Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO and CAP accreditation requirements as well internal policies.
As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations. Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Biology or related science.
Masters Degree in Business, Management or Administration is preferred.
Five or more years of progressively more responsible experience in supervision or leadership of laboratory operations.
Registered as Technologist with American Society of Clinical Pathologists, National Certifying Agency or equivalent.

$66-100K Relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis
