Laboratory Client Services Supervisor - Michigan

Job Summary
Under limited supervision, the Client Services Supervisor coordinates and supervises daily and ongoing operations of the Client Services department.
The Lab Client Services Supervisor establishes staffing models and schedules staff.
Establishes department policies and procedures.
Contributes to the operating and capital budget department and monitors financial performance.
Initiates and monitors training, orientation, and competency programs for staff.
Establishes high service standards and manages to those expectations.
Establishes inventory management system for department.
Establishes quality indicators and manages to those expectations.
Enforces department and organizational policies.
Interviews, hires, counsels, recommends discipline and/or discharge of subordinates, and completes performance evaluations.
Establishes equipment maintenance schedules.
Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, accrediting standards and laws.
Acts as a liaison with other departments for organizational activities.
Acts as an expert resource for Client Services functions.
Maintains skills and knowledge through continuing education.
Develops and maintains continuing education program for staff.
Provides formal instruction to students, staff and residents as required.
Establishes process improvement systems for department.
Anticipates customer/client needs and provides service in an expert, professional manner.
Develops a continuous learning culture by working with staff .
Monitors departmental communications to ensure that information is communicated correctly and in a timely manner.
Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and internal policies.
As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations.
Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Medical Technology, related science or Business Management.
Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in a leadership role in a clinical laboratory or administrative office management environment is preferred.
High level of knowledge in laboratory practices and processes.
Knowledge of Client Services Technology.
Specific knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications.

Salary: $52-78K
