Provide USSTRATCOM with Global Strike mission area support in the various areas of planning, operations, policy, command and control, warfare analyses and capability assessments.
Action officer support could include support to HQ USSTRATCOM/J8, J5, J3 or JFCC GSI. Expertise and knowledge in the areas of the Global Strike Mission; advocacy and requirements; warfare analyses and capability assessments to support strategic guidance, long range planning, policy reviews, technology working group reviews and budgeting/funding/Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBE) reviews for global strike weapon systems; weapons effects; characterization, planning tools, PPBE recommendations and OPLAN/CONPLAN integration of future systems. Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) products, POM and acquisition recommendations, Senior Warfighter Forums (SWarFs), and OPLAN/CONPLAN development.
Tasks may include: developing and presenting briefings; information, background, position papers; 915s and other miscellaneous materials in support of customer requirements. Some travel may be required. Previous experience in military operations (nuclear or conventional weapon systems) required.
We are looking for the following qualifications:
- US Citizenship and an ACTIVE TS/SCI security clearance are required
3+ years of experience with nuclear policy, strategy, and forces and infrastructure
3+ years of experience with the military in working with COCOM processes and procedures
Experience with Joint duty in OPLAN and CONPLANs
Experience with JCIDS process and product development
Experience with PPBE
