Manage the people and systems involved in a high performance cross-functional team environment while supporting the requisition of raw materials & packaging and the flow of the finished goods at the home plant.
- Manage the Day to day activities of the Warehouse & Purchasing
- Drive efficiencies & Improvement in Warehouse & Purchasing
- Manage inventory and resolve immediate issues
- Develop Standard operating procedures & controls
- Improve performance and productivity of facility & crew
- Identify and drive objective and measurable cost saving initiative
- Provide support to Six Sigma initiatives
- Meet Quality Standards as prescribed
- Meet requirements by ensuring compliance to shipping/transportation specifications.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of Warehouse KPI including - case per man hour, inventory accuracy and inventory on hand,
Manage budget - Meet and surpass budget
- Drive leadership coaching and development with hourly staff
- Motivate, train, develop, coach, and front line employee employees
- Manage collective agreement and labor relation issues
- Responsible for ensuring all employees are aware of operating / safety procedures
- Participating in the recruitment, selection and on boarding of new employees
- Manage Employee performance using core processes rolled out by company
- Inventory schedule compliance
Work with other functions to enable an effective and continuously improving operation using six sigma methodology
Support and develop food safety and surpass audit targets, develop department and advance documentation control
Enforce GMPs and HACCP
Maintain the safety of the department to ensure the team works in a safety culture environment
Conduct Bi-weekly Crew talks and other safety certification training as required
