Hospital broke ground in October 2005 on a $340 million dollar major capital expansion project that will enhance our services provided to the many diverse communities of the South Bay. Were building a new and improved state-of-the-art medical facility. Throughout the project, rest assured that the safety and well-being of our patients and their families is our first priority.Hospital overall expansion effort includes the addition of a new, two-story patient wing; four-story, 120,000-square-foot medical office building; a renovated emergency department; a new central plant; and an elevated heliport next to the trauma center/emergency department. In addition, the project will expand hospitals intensive care unit with 10 new beds, redesign operating rooms especially for minimally invasive surgery, add an endoscopy suite, cardiac catheterization labs, new MRI facilities, dedicated CT scan and radiology areas and increased patient parking.
Unit: Clinical Educator- Labor & Delivery
Job Summary: Under general supervision, provides clinically competent professional nursing care in accordance with the multidisciplinary plan of care and physician orders. Meets and exceeds all performance expectations for Registered Nurse. Functions as an expert clinical educator, consultant, and researcher for the health care team, patients, and family members. Delivers and facilitates high quality care for normal and high-risk patients. The Program Manager of Clinical Education is prepared academically in an advanced educational setting focusing on adult learning theories, advanced theoretical education for population(s) served and clinical decision support. Requirements:- Current California Registered Nurse License- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider Course- Current Advanced Life Support or obtained within 60 days of employment/transfer- Masters degree required- High risk Labor & Delivery Educator experience required
