Occupational Therapist Making a difference on a daily basis is the challenge and reward of working in OT. As part of a team of 17 therapists, you will work with a varied population of patients, (patient case load varies according to specific area of expertise) in either the acute inpatient or acute medical unit. Cross training will be provided to ensure that the incumbent has a broad knowledge base in inpatient rehab and has the expertise to float between departments if need arises. Requirements: OT/R and Graduate of an AOTA accredited institution with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in either acute inpatient rehab or acute medical. Experience in SCI, TBI, CVA, multiple trauma, amputations and multi system failure is desired. Requires excellent communication skills both verbal and in written form as well as strong human relations skills in order to interact successfully with patients, families and staff. Positive outlook and an excitement for what can be accomplished in rehab through OT is key to success in this position.
