Must have a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related with at least eight years manufacturing experience with grinding, turning, cutting, milling, NC/CNC machinery and programming languages and CAD/CAM. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, methods and various processes, tools and related manufacturing equipment. Provides liaison between the engineering department and other departments of the manufacturing division to assure that the manufacture or purchases of products meet functional requirements at the lowest possible cost. Maintains a constant surveillance over product design and manufacturing processes for the purpose of reducing and controlling costs. Responsible for the design of special production machinery necessary to maintain manufacturing operations at competitive levels. Reports to the Plant Manager
