Power Plant Reliability Management RCM RCA Energy Generation Energy
Essential Functions:
This position will lead a team of reliability engineers devoted to providing reliability engineering services to our clients owner operated power plants. The reliability engineer will originate and develop analysis methods for determining reliability of equipment and processes at all of the companys energy centers. The candidate acquires data, performs analysis, and prepares reports that document problems with equipment and processes. The candidate assists in the implementation of new and revised maintenance practices at all the companys energy centers. The engineer will actively participate in the Generation Steering Committees.
Requirements
Supervise, lead, train and support a team of reliability engineers.
Facilitate the implementation of RCM and RCA methods at all energy centers.
Perform reliability studies to analyze and identify specific areas or equipment needing improvement.
Actively participate in the maintenance best practices.
Monitor and evaluate an asset bad actor list.
Develop and implement changes to equipment maintenance plans based on reliability principles and best practices.
Advise, provide training and implement changes in computerized work management system methods and practices.
Provide technical consultation services in the areas of reliability, work and materials management, and business administration.
Perform studies on equipment and process failures and present details of the analysis, in report format, to plant management.
Follow company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
Perform other work as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET* accredited program.
Requires twelve years of plant engineering experience with at least three years working as a reliability engineer. Six years in a lead role or direct supervisor experience required. Certified Maintenance and Reliability Certification (CMRP) required. A Registered Professional Engineer preferred.
