Position description:
We are looking for an energetic technology leader to blaze trails and take our clients digital media business into the next decade. In this role you will lead the technology strategy for the companys digital media business. You will provide digital media industry and solution expertise to map the companys value proposition to customer business requirements. You will develop solution architectures to address common digital media business challenges and guide the companys product roadmap to maximize the value they deliver to digital media customers.
Position responsibilities:
Identify high impact digital media solutions and technology usage models that drive revenue opportunities.
Drive digital media solution vision and roadmap, managing solution priorities and communicating usage models to the product development team to foster innovation and promote product line extension.
Partner with customers, partners, and internal teams to define implementation strategies, review best practices, prototype, and deliver initial solution implementations.
Evangelize and increase awareness of digital media solutions at industry events and with sales prospects, customers, and partners (mostly programmers, database architects, and database administrators). Engage with the digital media community through webinars, blogs, video tutorials, whitepapers, forums, and other forms of social media to amplify the companys voice on emerging industry trends.
Provide strategic sales support when specific solution expertise is required.
Lead internal projects that help scale the business
Required skills:
Must have previous experience leading at least one noteworthy large-scale data-centric solution design and development initiative for a digital media solution such as ad targeting, content targeting, website optimization, attribution analysis, yield optimization, click fraud analysis, and ad inventory forecasting.
Polished verbal, written communication and presentation skills, with both external and internal audiences (examples requested), and a proven ability to communicate with and influence technical and business leaders at all levels.
Expert in logical and physical database design, performance optimization, data loading, federated and parallel data management, high-availability and capacity planning.
Ability to travel 30% (additional travel likely for candidates not based on the west coast).
Desired Job Experience:
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Business Objects, MicroStrategy, and Cognos.
Knowledge of leading-edge statistical and quantitative analytical methods and experience with statistical analysis tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, and Unica.
Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, and Ab Initio.
Experience with website analysis tools such as Omniture, WebTrends, Coremetrics, and Unica.
Experience writing complex SQL queries, and fluency with C++/C, Java, Python, R, and MapReduce.
Experience with MPP/SMP/Grid hardware architectures.
Experience with parallel database technologies helpful.
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon AWS and Google AppEngine.
College degree from a top program in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field additional concentration in Statistics, Applied Economics, Marketing Research / Science, Media, Advertising, and Mathematics helpful.
