Description: Qualified Sr. Opto-Mechanical Engineer will need to perform mechanical design/analysis for standard and custom EO/IR opto-mechanical products used in military and commercial applications. As well as serve as a lead contributor on a multi-disciplinary team in the development and fabrication of optics at the component and subsystem level.
Job Responsibilities: -Lead a team of engineers that will develop technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the design and integration of major subsystems and subassemblies within the Defense/Security Industry.
Qualifications: - 8+ years of Military Mechanical design and electronic packaging experience - Solidworks solid modeling is needed. - Mechanical design of gimbals and thermal imaging systems for aerospace applications. - Experience testing of designs for performance, vibration, and thermal. - Experience in packaging design to include functional, transport shock requirements and testing. -Good oral and written communications skills and the ability to provide clear, concise technical presentations.
Education: - BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. (Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus)
