Starting Pay Range:
$32.04-$41.65
Job Details:
· NP must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Virginia.
· NP must be a graduate of an approved program. "Approved program" means a nurse practitioner education program that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission or is offered by a school of nursing or jointly offered by a school of medicine and a school of nursing which grant a graduate degree in nursing and which holds a national accreditation acceptable to the Virginia Board of Nursing and the Virginia Board of Medicine and that is recognized by Board of Nursing and Board of Medicine.
· Successful completion of a Board exam that is recognized by the Board of Nursing and the Board of Medicine is required. Recertification, if required is necessary.
· NP must possess a current license as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Virginia.
· Eligibility to prescribe Schedule III - VI drugs in accordance with the regulations of the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.
· Maintenance of continuing education required by Virginia Board of Nursing and Virginia Board of Medicine is required.
· Maintenance of certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
· Must participate in the development of a written protocol that directs and describes the procedures to be followed and the delegated
· A minimum of one year of practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner is preferred
· Must possess well-developed interpersonal skills to work
· Must assist in the development and practice utilization of evidence based Clinical Practice Guidelines
· 60-day written notice of resignation is required
