Position Summary:
Directs all aspects of nutritional assessment therapy and education within a multi-disciplinary care model. A member of the professional staff with effective communication skills and innovative approaches to providing nutritional care.
Essential Functions:

Perform nutritional screening assessment and intervention appropriate to the age and status of the client. Provide individual and group nutrition education and counseling with an emphasis on disease prevention and wellness with appropriate age/development education level. Act as liaison between the food production staff and clinical staff to effectively coordinate nutritional care. Communicate with medical staff as well as other ancillary members to develop care plans that provide the highest quality of care in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Assign tasks to Nutrition Therapy Technician and coordinates nutrition care for patients within assigned floors/units. Provide talks/public speaking to promote/discuss nutrition issues.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Dietetics in a coordinated undergraduate program or a Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university including a Dietetic internship. Training must meet the American Dietetic Association guidelines for registration.
Certificates Licenses Registrations:
Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association. Licensed in the state of Kansas.
