CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE (CNA)

Job Summary:
The CNA is responsible for providing direct resident care as assigned. Additional responsibilities include reporting changes in residents' condition to Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide loving care and assistance?with normal daily activities for residents of all levels of care. Treat all residents and their family members with a high level of respect. Participate and help residents to participate in a range of activities and outings.?
Perform standard Nursing Aide duties at all times such as: documenting required information reporting concerns to supervisor be responsible for resident safety provide routine care as needed to residents such as bathing cleaning walking daily hygeine practicies etc.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
A minimum of one year experience as a Certified Nurses Assistant is preferred.
Must have effective communication skills.
Able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to the position.
Function independently have flexibility and personal integrity.
Must demonstrate on an ongoing basis the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and department heads.
Education/Certification:
GED or a High School Diploma is preferred.
Must be an active Certified Nurse Assistant in the State of Kansas.
CPR certification preferred.
