Position Summary:
Develops and maintains statistical information applicable to hospital contract maintenance. Monitors cases for underpayments and appeal opportunities and complies with insurance companies appeals process for recouping underpayments and appeals. Analyzes accounts and interprets contracts for correct reimbursement. Essential Functions: Other duties may be assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Develops and maintains databases relative to managed care functions for payment compliance appeals and hospital contract database. Provides assistance researching accounts for payment compliance or medical necessity review. Maintains confidentiality of correspondence data and other information within the department. Maintains accurate and accessible files for department. Communicates professionally and effectively with staff and health benefit plans. Maintains current and proficient knowledge of computer software. Demonstrates ability to prioritize work projects and works independently Other duties as requested.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
